What does it stand for?
Delightfully Exorcizing Accumulated Delirium.
What does it mean?
Delightfully (adverb): to do something in an enjoyable way
Exorcising (verb): to get rid of something unwanted or troublesome
Accumulated (adjective): gathered or collected over a period of time
Delirium (noun): a mental disturbance or frenzied excitement
My Story
As an only child, making art was often one of the only ways I could entertain myself. In high school, art class was my refuge from the rest of the world. Some of my favorite memories are from my college art classes. As a young adult, I enjoyed making art in my free time. I began to focus on my art more seriously in 2023 as a way of coping with my autistic burnout and healing my religious trauma.
At my lowest point, I truly believed that my family would be better off if I was literally dead. I decided to listen to my husband and used art to stay alive. With a creative process much like “that of a mad scientist,” I began doodling away the delirium.
According to my personal artistic philosophy, art should be fun.
